I am a dedicated writer who loves to weave words into tales that are informative and have the ability to spark emotion in the reader. I believe that good writing can carry one away from everyday life. And, although the characters may live far away, in setting or time, similarities emerge between those in the book and those reading it.
I would like to introduce the first of a two-part series. The second installment is currently in the hands of the publisher and will be available this summer. Jonathan Crawford was the youngest son of the owner of the biggest ranch in the Arizona Territory. "The looker of the family" accepted an invitation from his mother's sister in Chicago to get to know the woman who, they said, was his dead mother's image. A walk with his cousin in a park set the stage for an encounter that would find him, against his better judgement, in a forbidden love affair.
Genevieve Davidsly lived a secluded life in 1870 Chicago. She embraced simple pleasures like the burst of exuberance from when her feet flew down the staircase in defiance of the strict rules she lived under. Her guardians, a pair of spinster sisters, were rich enough to indulge in an existence bereft of all male presence. The niece, dependent on the pair, was forced to avoid any interactions with men. When she was injured and a
displaced cowboy visiting from distant Arizona stepped up to rescue her, she tumbled into a relationship that changed her, and his, lifes, forever.
Get your own copy of the beginning of Genevieve and Jonathan's story, either paperback or E-Copy. Part two is on its way.
